Mybattery was showing up in conservation mode at 60% and not charging (I always use laptop plugged in). This was the setting in Windows 8.1 and still in Windows 10. All okay until last night. Now my battery is showing 100% charged and it's no longer in conservation mode. I opened the new Lenovo Settings for Windows 10 and clicked on Power

Turnoff your Lenovo laptop. Remove the charger from the outlet (power cable). Eject your laptop's battery. For 30-seconds, press and hold the power button. Now, put back the battery and connect the charger to your laptop. When you turn on your laptop, it should begin charging right away.
Dragon-Fur thanks for helping out, I tried calibration (AC cable > shut down > remove battery > uninstall drivers > insert battery) but again same issue is there i.e stucked at 32% not charging and can operate while cable plugged in. One observation is battery is little bit swollen. Is only replacement is solution now?

Click the plus (+) sign next to Batteries category, right-click All of the "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" listings, and select Uninstall In the "Confirm Device Uninstall" dialog box, click OK. You could try to set Performance mode when using battery as well, it will probably improve your gaming experience while not charging but also shorten the duration of the battery, so i'd game while plugged anytime.
